Whose Throne?

The elections are now over and the drama it creates reorients my thinking to its proper place. It's been said the elections are now so important because the government is too big, which makes who represents the citizens too important.

I would agree. If in this two party system we celebrate or lament who wins and loses, there is no doubt government is far too important in our lives. The larger government grows, the more dangerous it becomes as an entity. Government cannot be compassionate. It cannot be merciful. It is a brute force which wields most of its power through coercion.

I don't really know how nefarious actions are these days, but there are plenty of conspiratorial thoughts which have nested in the rabbit holes in my mind.

It's been said for the past 70 years, communist and socialist hobgoblins have infiltrated the highest parts of our government while the skull and bones society have furnished every president we've had.

I've read plenty about the cheating in Chicago, Broward County, Milwaukee, Detroit, most of California, and in most, if not all the border states. It's discouraging people have put so much into politics.

The courts have been stacked for decades, gerrymandering at local and state levels is done with hands rubbed together and menacing grins. We have roughly 15 different types of machines across the country to tabulate votes, varying from state to state.

It boggles my mind we cannot simplify the voting system but when that is tried to different degrees, the screeching can be heard for miles.

If the events of the past 20 years or so were accurately recorded for posterity, I don't have too many doubts our future leaders will shake their heads at these times. The operative phrase is "accurately recorded". We do not have recorders of the present, we have attempted shapers of the future.

We don't shape futures with propaganda. It will, over time, be sniffed out. Even the dullest of minds will catch on it will end in either a civil war or an awakening in which people simply walk away from the ones who have tried to make their own mark in history.

Yet, step away for a moment and take a look into eternity. The Lord in heaven laughs. There's no doubt God orchestrates events and orders our steps. I am confident in thinking the Spirit of God is calling out to his people to #walkaway.

In walking away, it isn't to abandon culture and the influence of the people around us, but rather to be careful with the cult of personality, mindful of our purpose here, and ultimately to recognize God raises up leaders and brings them down. He will reign, we will not.
